Aleksei Milovanov is a senior client-side advisor with extensive executive experience in the delivery of complex stadium and major sports infrastructure projects.

His background includes senior leadership roles on major international sporting events, notably involvement in the delivery of multiple stadium programmes for FIFA World Cup tournaments. This experience spans the full project lifecycle, from early planning and design governance through to delivery readiness and operational handover, within highly constrained, high-visibility environments.

Between 2012 and 2022, Aleksei was directly involved in the preparation and delivery of large-scale international events across different jurisdictions, working at the interface between public authorities, designers, delivery organisations and international governing bodies. This included responsibility for programme-level coordination, design governance and integration of permanent and temporary infrastructure under fixed deadlines and intense public scrutiny.

The delivery of seven new stadiums for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, developed and commissioned within a compressed timeframe, provided practical insight into managing complex stakeholder structures, public funding mechanisms and irreversible delivery decisions. Subsequent involvement in the preparation of official sites for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 further strengthened his understanding of delivery under political, commercial and operational pressure.

This experience forms the foundation of Stadium Management Consulting SA’s advisory approach — grounded in real delivery conditions, informed judgement and a clear understanding of how large sports infrastructure projects function in practice, beyond theoretical models or standard consultancy frameworks.
